It started in the Year 1985

Lt. Khatri Seeta Ram Tandon, a visionary writer, embarked on a remarkable journey of Writing the various books such as Disciplinary rules in 1970’s . But after he suffered the heart attach in late 80s he took an initiative to do something for his society for his own khatri fraternity and. in 1985, Driven by an insatiable passion for literature and an unwavering commitment to his craft, Tandon dedicated himself to creating a masterpiece about the Khatris, a community close to his heart.

Jaati Ratna Award in 2004

In 1974, Lt. Shri Seeta Ram Tandon received the Uttar Pradesh Government’s State Award for his exceptional work and writings on government rules. After retiring, he published the monumental “History of Khatris in India” in 2004, the result of 20 years of research. Over a thousand Khatris contributed over Rs 1 lakh for its publication. Tandon was honored with the Jaati Ratna Award in appreciation of his hard work, which had been awaited for over a century. In 2005, he was further recognized by the All India Khatri Mahasabha for his remarkable contributions and became a life member and patron of the organization.

Got Republished in 2014
